Teachers are Talking

We were so grateful to have a local and unique source who is willing to share his knowledge about astronomy, weather, and science. He addressed content in a timely manner and in a process in which 3rd through 5th graders can understand. I know that our students enjoyed the musical means and diverse materials through which the content was delivered. He set a positive atmosphere from the very beginning of his presentation. I also appreciate how he makes the presentation more relatable to the students by including experiences he and his family have had in the discussion and through song. I hope that our students were able to become critical thinkers and learn to ask challenging questions after spending time with “Stormin' Swanson”. Bob was great to work with while getting our time together planned and scheduled. I highly recommend his expertise to any school interested in an awesome science experience.Aynsley Farmer -- Music Specialist, Pierce Street Elementary, Tupelo, MS

We want to thank you for your time in coming to our classes to share about different kinds of weather. You have a special gift in communicating with young children! The students really enjoyed the music—helps them remember key concepts. The “tornado machine” was fascinating! We have used our CDs many times during our study of weather! Thanks again for sharing your time and expertise.Martha Royster, Woodland Elementary

Thank you for coming to our school yesterday. The students LOVED it! You do so much more than simply teach about weather, you make it fun for kids. I don't think I have ever seen weather taught the way you approach it. Adults and kids alike can explore weather in an exciting new way. My students will be singing your weather songs all year.--Sara Wilson, Gray Elementary

I would like to invite you back next year for another visit. We thank you for your efforts!!--Andrea Dowdell, Avoca Elementary
